A Very Merry "Kawaii" Cute Christmas

November 14, 2016
Peninsula Festive Moments

At The Peninsula Tokyo, the months of November and December sparkle with kawaii (Japanese word which translates to “cute”) Christmas decorations, seasonal gourmet treats, and festive gatherings to ring in the New Year.

Guests will find the Christmas spirit alive and well all throughout the hotel, from the kawaii decorations featuring the cute and cuddly Peninsula Peter Bear to the lovable holiday ambassador SnowPage and a host of dining treats and Christmas hampers for families and friends to enjoy.

The spirit of giving is truly a focal point this holiday season, as the hotel continues its commitment to raising funds for charities. Once again, the hotel joins hands with Make-A-Wish Foundation® to support children with life-threatening diseases with its ‘Trees of Hope’ campaign. Guests are invited to purchase specially designed ornaments to bring home or hang on the evergreen Christmas trees at the hotel lobby. In addition, SnowPage, The Peninsula’s lovable holiday ambassador, is dressed to impress for the annual holiday fundraising campaign. Fashionably restyled by luxury toy art collective Papinee, the limited edition Tokyo Snowpage wears a classic Kimono graced with delicate cherry blossoms. The Peninsula SnowPage ornament and the Peninsula Snowpage plush toy will be available for purchase at The Peninsula Boutique & Café.

Throughout December, the hotel’s bars and restaurants will take on a festive theme with special menus and fare inspired by the season. Guests will enjoy Christmas Afternoon Tea at The Lobby from 1 to 25 December, as well as festive hampers, kawaii Santa-shaped chocolates, and holiday cakes at The Peninsula Boutique & Café. On 27 November, Executive Pastry Chef Shigeru Nojima once again gives children the opportunity to have a go at decorating their very own Gingerbread House, using a colourful array of Christmas candies and icing.

To bid 2016 goodbye and ring in 2017, a grand New Year’s Eve Party will take place at Peter where an exquisite four-course dinner will be served. With a countdown to the New Year and entertainment by British award-winning DJ Guy Perryman, 2017 will kick-off to a spirited and festive start.

Finally, The Peninsula Spa is the perfect venue to recharge during the busy holiday season. The Holiday Glow treatment is ideal for driving away stress and for feeling rejuvenated and ready for the New Year.
