RUYI Gastronomy Experience at Hei Fung Terrace

Highlighting its Oriental heritage, The Peninsula Tokyo's signature Cantonese restaurant Hei Fung Terrace proudly partners with LEGLE FRANCE, a luxury French porcelain brand, to launch the unique dining experience “RUYI Gastronomy” paired with contemporary Chinese tablewares. 

From 1 to 30 September 2017, guests dining at Hei Fung Terrace will experience an enchanting feast for the senses with a specially-created RUYI GASTRONOMY menu by Executive Chinese Chef Dicky To, with exquisite tableware pairings and patterns hand-picked exclusively by RUYI’s founder and creative director Desmond Chang to echo the cuisine.

With more than 150 years of experience in tableware designing and manufacturing, LEGLE FRANCE’s latest collection RUYI recreates the sophistication of exquisite Chinese dining that shines brightly on the international dining scene. The RUYI line of Chinaware showcases sophisticated yet simple lines combined with elaborate details, proving that fine tableware goes beyond being a vessel for food, but rather prized as an art piece that conveys the history and culture of culinary prosperity and elegance. 

Founded in 2012 as a result of Desmond Chang’s passion for food, wine and flavour combinations, the inventive and highly acclaimed “RUYI Gastronomy” experience has since been launched in Shanghai (2012 and 2014), Hong Kong (2013 and 2014), and Taipei (2015). It is presented for the first time in Japan at The Peninsula Tokyo in 2017.
