On the evening of 9 June, 86 au courant Tokyoites gathered at Peter for a charity party co-sponsored by the glossy fashion magazine 25ans and The Peninsula Tokyo, with support from French luxury cosmetics maker Sisley. While introducing the magazine’s readers to the soon-to-be-opened Peninsula Paris, the event raised JPY 860,000 in donations for Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Japan, in support of families with children in need of life-saving medical care.
Attendees enjoyed Champagne, French wines, and a four-course dinner at the French-themed affair, which was emceed by the popular radio personality Takumi Fujita. Rounding out the stellar evening were product demonstrations by Sisley, a drawing for special prizes including a one-night stay at The Peninsula Tokyo, and a performance by pianist Yukio Yokoyama, a third-place winner of the international Chopin competition and a holder of two Guinness world records for his marathon performances of Chopin’s works. In addition, all partygoers received a stylish Sisley pouch filled with cosmetics and a folding fan scented with the fresh and floral Eau Tropicale – a perfect accessory for the upcoming summer months, or a walk down the Champs Élysées toward the Arc de Triomphe and the elegant Peninsula Paris.
